I would take you to an ancient place of stark beauty, a place I know in the sea. The Greeks call it The Dodecanese, the twelve, but there is much more here than twelve. There are 163 islands and there is the sun and always the deep blue beauty of the eternal sea.
It is an old place, older than memory, older than the the oldest written word, older than human kind. Yet, as new as the shining white hydrafoils skimming the surface of the sea, as new as the internet connections to tiny islands where no more than 200 people live.
There is a rythm to this place; it is the slow and steady stroking of the soft sands by the smiling sea. The raucous club beat of the cities is far away. Here we heal the effects of such places upon the body and soul.
Come with me to the Dodecanese. Let the great arms of the wind take you, the sun enfold you, and the sea hold you as we visit:
Patmos
Lypsi
Leros
Kalymnos
Kos
Astypalea
Nyssirios
Tylos
Symi
Rhodos
Halki
Kestalorizo
Karpathos & Kassos
Close Your eyes, lie back and relax. There is no hurry here. I shall tell you a story, the story of The Dodecanese.
